Assemblymember Limón Announces Legislation to Take on Toxic Lead Paint

(Sacramento) - A coalition of state legislators and advocates today announced a package of bills to address toxic lead paint in California homes. “AB 2803 would provide liability protection for homeowners whose homes are contaminated with lead based-paint. This would allow homeowners to seek damages for clean-up or otherwise implement their own clean-up without fear of liability lawsuits. We should empower homeowners to clean up this hazard rather than penalize them for trying to do the right thing,” said Assemblymember Monique Limón.
