Limón Weighs in on Higher Budget Proposals

Thursday, March 1, 2018

(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Monique Limón (D-Santa Barbara) and the rest of the Budget Subcommittee #2 on Education Finance have begun the difficult task of determining how the state should spend its higher education money. During the hearing Limón said the idea of a new online community college is intriguing but said the roll out and implementation of such a program is key to its success or failure and she would like to see evidence that now is the right time to invest in an online community college. Assemblymember Limón also expressed her concern about holding down tuition and fee increases because students may be facing other impacts from federal budget changes.
