Thursday, February 8, 2018

(Sacramento)  - Assemblymember Monique Limón’s (D-Santa Barbara) Assembly Joint Resolution 29 makes her opposition to the U.S. Department of Interior’s proposed expansion of offshore oil and gas drilling very clear. AJR 29 calls on the federal government to drop its plans to expand drilling off the coast of California. “The threat and reality of oil spills impact all communities,” Assemblymember Limón said. “Our legislature joins this growing multitude of voices in speaking out against the shortsighted expansion of offshore oil drilling off the California coast." Here’s more of Assemblymember Limón’s presentation of AJR 29 to the State Assembly in this Assembly Access video.
