I am excited to share with you this news update about recent legislative developments and some of the work I am doing to represent our community in the California State Assembly.
Santa Maria District Office Grand Opening and Community Open House
Earlier this month, I celebrated the grand opening of the new Santa Maria District Office that I opened alongside Senator Monique Limón. This marks the first time in nearly two decades that the Legislature has located an office in Santa Maria. The office will increase access to state resources for residents, businesses and service providers in the Santa Maria Valley. Furthermore, the office is dedicated to assisting community members with their concerns, questions and issues related to state government services and policies.
The office is located at 1111 S. Broadway Street, Suite 101, Santa Maria, CA. Constituents can contact the office by calling (805) 346-1237. Please view the video below to check out our grand opening event and learn more about the office.
Open Enrollment Is Here for Covered California
The Covered California open-enrollment period began November 1 and will continue until January 31, 2024. Covered California is here to help you find the most affordable coverage from the health insurance marketplace. The increased financial help available through the Inflation Reduction Act can lower costs for people in every income bracket. Income eligible individuals can also enroll in coverage through Medi-Cal. Please visit coveredca.com if you need new health coverage for your family.
