In celebration of Women's History Month, the California State Assembly honors women from across the state for their remarkable contributions to the community. These women have demonstrated exceptional leadership and achievement, whether in public service, science, technology, arts, entrepreneurship, academia, industry, and many other areas.
Nominees must live, volunteer, or work in the 37th Assembly District. Stretching from Carpinteria to Nipomo and the Gaviota Coast to Cuyama, the 37th District includes the communities of: Carpinteria, Summerland, Montecito, Santa Barbara, Goleta, Isla Vista, Santa Ynez, Buellton, Solvang, Lompoc, Santa Maria, Orcutt, Guadalupe, Cuyama, and Nipomo.
